My Take On Design
Design is more than just a result, it is a tool capable of bridging gaps. I do work that sheds light on systemic change and create designs for a movement greater than oneself.
Design is my love language and I want others to participate with me. I create more than just products, I create experiences. We are often prisoners of the design boxes that society confines us to, and I work with vectors and pixels to dismantle those boxes. I translate my client’s words into what they dream of giving life to and the ideas in their heads; creating a dynamic experience that encompasses innovative typography and striking illustration.
My name is Ximena Castillo and I am a graphic designer with a special focus on creating impactful experiences for my clients, moving beyond just a product. I have been a graphic design intern for over three years and have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Within my undergrad, I have cultivated an experience where faculty clients have been able to communicate to students in a playful manner thanks to my inventive use of composition. Additionally, creating this experience for my faculty clients allowed for better information retention with students. I aspire to work for a company that makes an impact and lives up to its mission statement.
